Hey guys, check out the latest episode of NBC's "Parenthood." In this episode, Max's parents hire a behavioral therapist to help Max (and his parents) deal with his Asperger's.
To boot, the behavioral therapist is hot.
A DOCUMENTATION OF TEARS AND CHEER WITH MY ASPIE
hi sindee
ReplyDeleteWow. Just wow. I've diagnosed the person I was seeing for 5 1/2 months with Aspergers - I know - who am I? Certainly not a qualified doctor. But I was trying to figure out how a person could say such incredibily awful things with such apparent absence of malice. "What was your one niece's name - the pretty one?", she'd say. I'd say, "hmmm....oh...you didn't want to know the name of my ugly niece?". And because she would laugh heartily at the joke I'd get hooked into believing she got the grander picture... I learned that the logical recitation of facts is a cold world in which I don't really want to be a part of...and yet I'm still intrigued. I have been exposed to the most unusual concept of love...and it's not at all pleasing. I miss the old days when I thought what it meant to love someone. Aspies seem so attuned to what they perceive as manipulation. People cry only to make someone feel guilty to them. I have a lot of anger right now. I'm thinking - if these folks are so into self-stimming - then leave us out of it. Except they do like to use us to help them in their stupid, boring, obsessive, ridiculous, "projects". And yes I like cats. BUT NOT 15 OF THEM! Wait - I'm lying - I don't like cats.
